GW Micro
 Window-Eyes

Window-Eyes is nothing less than the most stable screen reader available on the market today. Featuring Windows 2000, Windows XP (Home, Professional, and Media Center), Windows Server 2003, and Windows Vista (all 32-bit versions, including Vista Ultimate, Vista Home Premium, Vista Home Basic, Vista Business, and Vista Enterprise) compatibility, Window-Eyes puts you in the hands of the most powerful screen reading software ever created.

Window-Eyes gives total control over what you hear and how you hear it. Plus, with its enhanced Braille support that control is extended to what you feel as well. On top of all that, the power and stability of Window-Eyes means that most applications work right out of the box with no need for endless tinkering in order to get them to function properly.

Window-Eyes is your key to opening the doors of a world with unlimited information. A world where work takes precedence over technical hassles. Window-Eyes is a leading software application for the blind and visually impaired, which converts components of the Windows operating system into synthesized speech allowing for complete and total access to Windows based computer systems. Window-Eyes integration into Windows is seamless, providing you with instant access to the operating system without having to learn a complicated set of keystrokes.

Applications that utilize standard Microsoft controls will be spoken automatically with little to no configuration necessary. Other applications may require simple modifications to Window-Eyes whose options are easily accessible via a well organized, speech control panel.

The Window-Eyes User's Guide (available in a multitude of formats -- see below) provides detailed instructions and examples for beginning configuration options such as voice parameters and verbosity, as well as advanced instruction for tasks such as setting up user and hyperactive windows, and creating customized settings for individual applications.

GW Micro is committed to the user. Our partnerships with mainstream companies such as Microsoft, Adobe, Macromedia, and PeopleSoft allows us to make Window-Eyes one of the primary tools for testing product accessibility. We work hard to make sure that Window-Eyes provides you with the best access possible for the most popular applications.

You expect a lot from Window-Eyes. And you should. We're raising those expectations further with Window-Eyes, designed to harness the power of Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, and Windows Vista. Windows has customized itself to individual work habits and preferences. Window-Eyes does the same, making it the most productive, easy-to-use screen reader ever.

Payment Plan

GW Micro is proud to offer the Window-Eyes Payment Plan, a continuation of the first assistive technology program that allows customers to pay for their software in monthly installments. Here's how it works.

  1. The Window-Eyes Payment Plan includes a copy of Window-Eyes and a Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA), or three upgrades, and (after paid in full) costs $1250, plus shipping. The Window-Eyes Payment Plan is currently only available in the English language version. It can be purchased and used by anyone around the world. It can be purchased through your local Window-Eyes dealer or GW Micro.

  2. The Window-Eyes Payment Plan is available in two options: Long Term and Short Term. The Short Term payment plan is for 13 months. The Long Term payment plan is for 32 months.

  3. Purchase a Window-Eyes Long Term Payment Plan for $41 (plus shipping), and use it for 1 month. Before the end of the 1 month, purchase another license number for $39 from your original reseller. You may also choose to purchase a Window-Eyes Short Term Payment Plan for $50 (plus shipping), and use it for 1 month. Before the end of the 1 month, purchase another license number for $100 from your original reseller. If you don't purchase your license number within the time limit, your copy of Window-Eyes will revert to a 30 minute demo until you purchase your new license number.

  4. There is a time limit to this program. You will have a limited number of months from the date of purchase to complete the payment plan program. Customers who take longer than the payment period may be required to start their payment schedule over. Call GW Micro at 260-489-3671 if you have any questions or concerns about your payment schedule.

  5. License numbers can be purchased over the Internet, by phone, or from a local dealer. License numbers will then be transmitted via the Internet, and your copy of Window-Eyes will be updated and usable for another month. If you do not have Internet access, you can purchase your license number over the phone, and enter the code manually. Call GW Micro at 260-489-3671 to purchase your license number.

  6. The Window-Eyes Payment Plan includes an entire Software Maintenance Agreement (SMA), which means if GW Micro releases a Window-Eyes upgrade during your payment schedule, you will be able to download the latest upgrade via the Internet. If you do not have access to the Internet, you can purchase the upgrade on CD. If we do not release an upgrade during your payment schedule, you will automatically receive the next upgrade when it is released. Minor upgrades, such as service packs, are not considered complete upgrades, and are available for free via the Internet. It is possible to purchase service packs on CD for a nominal charge.

  7. At the end of your payment schedule, we will send you a full copy of Window-Eyes. You will need to uninstall the Payment Plan version of Window-Eyes before installing the full version.
