The PLEXTALK Pocket is a lightweight, pocket-sized, DAISY-compliant music, voice, and book player/recorder that offers revolutionary mobility and ease of use by anyone in business, education and leisure. It is the world's first true crossover media player/recorder which contains a host of applications and which also comes packed with features that support unsurpassed accessibility for people with sight problems or learning difficulties.

Playback

Daisy Book Playback
PLEXTALK Pocket supports DAISY2.02, ANSI/NISO Z39.86/DAISY3.0. You can playback not only DAISY audio books but also text-based DAISY book. Many national library services and contents providers publishing and distributing DAISY-structure books.

MP3 Music Playback
PLEXTALK Pocket detects music files inside the SD cards automatically if those files are not associated with DAISY books. Press the play/stop key for playback and the right or left key to move to the next or previous title.
Also you can playback music titles of a music CD inserted in a USB external CD/DVD drive.

TEXT/HTML Content Playback using Embeded Text-to-Speech Engine
PLEXTALK Pocket detects text/html files inside the SD card automatically and reads the file using the built-in text-to-speech (TTS) engine. You can navigate text and html files by paragraph, sentence, word, character, percentage, etc.
 
Playback from External USB Drive
Press the title key to select media to one where a contents you want to playback is stored.
 
Large Volume Speaker Built-in
A powerful mono speaker is built in the body.
Volume is adjusted in 26 steps.
 
Play Speed/Tone Adjustment
The 1 key is allocated for Play Speed/Tone Adjustment setting. Speed is changed at 11 settings, tone is adjusted at 13 settings.

Voice Recording with DAISY Structure
Using the record key and play/stop key, you can record the sound from the built-in microphone or line-in/microphone jack. Editing feature to put heading, erase sections is available to make the recorded contents as DAISY structure.
You can select your preferred sound quality setting from PCM 44.1kHz stereo, PCM 22.05kHz mono, MP3 256kbps stereo, MP3 128kbps stereo, MP3 64kbps mono and MP3 32kbps mono.
 
Voice Memo-Taking Capability
Press and hold down the record key and speak the memo. You can record up to 1 minute per memo and a maximum of 200 memos.
 
High Quality Built-in Microphone
Built-in microphone is used both for monaural sound recording by DAISY structure and for voice memo taking.
 
Plug-in Power for External Microphone
Line-in/microphone jack supply power for external microphone without power plug.

Quickly press and release the Power key once to set 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, 1 and a half hour and two hours.
